Are you an experienced Design & Technology Teacher specialising in Resistant Materials seeking a rewarding ongoing opportunity? Elementa Support Services, a trusted partner to schools and education settings across the South of England and beyond, is working with an esteemed Multi Academy Trust based in Bristol, to find a dedicated Design & Technology Teacher, specialising in Resistant Materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in wood work, textiles and engineering, as well as the other key areas of resistant materials. This position offers an excellent chance for a qualified teacher with a strong background in D&T, particularly resistant materials and woodwork, to make a positive impact within a dynamic educational environment. The role is ideal for those with QTS or QTLS status and a genuine passion for inspiring students in practical and creative design technology lessons. This is a part-time position (4 days per week), starting on January 5th 2025, on an ongoing basis, with the likelihood of a long-term placement. Marking will be required; however, all planning will be provided initially.

Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
Proven experience teaching Resistant Materials or D&T at secondary level
An engaging, creative, and professional approach to classroom management and instruction
A commitment to supporting students’ development and fostering a positive learning environment
High standards of vetting & compliance, ensuring safe and effective teaching practice
Nice to have:
Experience in wood work, textiles and engineering, as well as the other key areas of resistant materials
