Job Description

justteachers is seeking a creative and motivated Design & Technology Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Leicestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for a DT specialist to inspire students through practical and theoretical learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging and practical DT lessons in line with curriculum requirements
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work to support progress and achievement
  • Ensure a safe and well-organised workshop and classroom environment
  • Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills
  • Contribute to departmental planning and development
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and school procedures

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Specialism or strong experience in Design & Technology
  • Experience teaching DT at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching and student development
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
