Job Description

As a Design Strategist, you shape end-to-end user experiences for digital products and services, blending research, strategy, facilitation, and hands-on design. Equally at home leading workshops or crafting polished solutions in Figma, you approach design as problem-solving, not just pixel-pushing. You balance creative vision with user needs and business goals, using insights to guide, validate, and elevate the work. The Design Strategist is a trusted advisor to clients and a collaborative partner to cross-functional teams, guiding projects from discovery through execution. You begin by asking the right questions, digging into research, aligning to strategy, and uncovering the “why” before shaping solutions that are thoughtful, usable, and visually compelling. Leveraging expertise across user research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design, you translate insights into human-centered solutions that deliver real value. Whether mapping complex journeys, facilitating workshops, or crafting final designs, you ensure every detail aligns with both the vision and the context of the project.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative user research (surveys, interviews, usability testing) to uncover user needs, pain points, and opportunities
  • Synthesize research into actionable insights, user journeys, personas, and experience strategies that drive design decisions
  • Use data and user feedback to validate ideas and measure the impact of design solutions
  • Develop experience strategies, vision documents, and roadmaps that align user goals with client objectives
  • Facilitate workshops, co-creation sessions, and stakeholder interviews to align teams and generate ideas
  • Create service blueprints, customer journey maps, and UX frameworks for complex ecosystems
  • Design wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Figma
  • Craft intuitive information architecture and scalable design systems that support cohesive, accessible experiences
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure design intent is maintained through implementation
  • Act as a bridge between research, strategy, and design, championing user-centered design principles at every stage
  • Present and communicate design rationale clearly to clients and stakeholders, adjusting the message for different audiences
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of our design culture.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a UX Strategist, Senior UI Designer, or similar full-stack design role, with a strong portfolio showcasing research, strategy, and polished UI work
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design, usability best practices, information architecture, and interaction design
  • Expertise in modern design tools (especially Figma) and prototyping
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • able to lead workshops, design sprints, and stakeholder sessions with confidence
  • Excellent storytelling, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to inspire clients and teams alike
  • Familiarity with agile and iterative design processes
  • comfortable working in dynamic, cross-functional environments
  • A passion for solving complex problems and turning insights into elegant, practical solutions
  • A strategist’s mindset in a designer’s body. You love design craft, but you start with empathy and insight.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive design
  • Experience designing and managing design systems
  • Working knowledge of front-end development to collaborate effectively with engineering teams
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and using data to inform design.

Job Responsibility
  • Architect and build one to two full-stack AI prototypes per cohort inside the sandbox (AWS), selecting and configuring the appropriate AI development stack for the use case

  • Implement workflow automation and system integration using orchestration platforms (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier) to connect enterprise data sources, APIs, and downstream systems
  • Develop prototypes that are stable, clearly scoped, and capable of running live in front of executive audiences without failure
  • Iterate rapidly based on AI Strategist and executive feedback throughout Weeks 2 through 6, treating their input as product requirements
  • Build parallel prototypes using only approved tools (Snowflake, Copilot) alongside the sandbox-built solution, enabling a direct side-by-side comparison of approaches at Demo Day. This work must be completed within approved tooling only, without the use of external AI tools or sandbox resources
  • Assess and articulate the production gap: what was built in the sandbox versus what a production deployment requires across integration, data governance, security, and scale
