Job Responsibility:
Enhance current design processes to reduce company risk and liability via formal validation, verification and approval prior to and during construction
Build an operations-based design team to strengthen design capability with regards to resource, training, competence and experience
Develop and maintain a suite of IUS design procedures, standards, specifications and guidance documents
Control design liabilities by implementing robust approval procedures to ensure all designs meet performance parameters and client expectations
Improve internal processes and procedures to ensure all designs completed within IUS are appropriately checked, validated, verified and approved prior to being issued for construction
Talent profile of all resources maintained, with high growth potential assessed and actively managed
Requirements:
Degree, HNC or other recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering
Experience designing electrical connections and networks LV to 33kV (132kV beneficial)
Experience mentoring and developing less experienced design staff
Experience reviewing and approving designs
Experience developing a design approval process (beneficial)
