Design Manager

• Enhance current design processes to reduce company risk and liability via formal validation, verification and approval prior to and during construction
• Build an operations-based design team to strengthen design capability with regards to resource, training, competence and experience
• Develop and maintain a suite of IUS design procedures, standards, specifications and guidance documents
• Control design liabilities by implementing robust approval procedures to ensure all designs meet performance parameters and client expectations
• Improve internal processes and procedures to ensure all designs completed within IUS are appropriately checked, validated, verified and approved prior to being issued for construction
• Talent profile of all resources maintained, with high growth potential assessed and actively managed

• Degree, HNC or other recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Experience designing electrical connections and networks LV to 33kV (132kV beneficial)
• Experience mentoring and developing less experienced design staff
• Experience reviewing and approving designs
• Experience developing a design approval process (beneficial)
