Greystar is looking for a Design Manager to join the team on a 12-month contract, supporting a portfolio of Build to Rent and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation projects across Australia. This is a client-side role where you’ll play a key part from early design through to delivery. You’ll work across multiple assets, collaborating closely with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to drive strong, consistent design outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Support design management across multiple projects from concept to completion
Coordinate consultants and driving alignment across design, cost, and program
Review documentation to ensure quality, compliance, and buildability
Partner with delivery teams to support smooth project execution
Identify risks and opportunities to optimise design outcomes
Requirements:
Experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator
Background in residential, mixed-use, BTR, or student accommodation projects
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to balance design quality with program and cost considerations
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
