Job Description

The County Council is looking to recruit a Design Engineer who will work alongside our Senior Design Engineers, working on carriageway and footway resurfacing schemes. Design Engineers have input at every stage of the process from initial scheme selection using condition data, right through to final measuring of completed works. The role also supports the wider highways team by providing both treatment advice and cost estimates for potential works. Assisting these teams to make investment decisions.

Job Responsibility

  • Actively participate in internal project meetings, including project margin and variance reviews, new business production meetings and project debriefs
  • Complete daily reporting responsibilities
