This person works within an engineering team and is responsible for supporting the organization under general supervision, evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering principles and techniques to engineering assignments. Works directly with customers and the HUSCO global engineering team to develop innovative hydraulic control system solutions. With support from the Manager and Director of Engineering will work independently on projects or sub-projects and will manage the day-to-day activities of these projects to ensure that results meet established needs and goals. Job Responsibility
Design new products using standard engineering principles and calculations
Understand and apply fit, form, and function principles
Maintain and manage engineering documentation (drawings, BOMs, specs, etc.)
Use 3D modeling tools Creo 9.0 (or higher version) and act as a Doer for ECRs/EWOs
Define testing goals and build test cases
Monitor product performance and recommend improvements
Conducts hands-on testing, builds, and repairs both in-house and at customer sites
Provide technical assistance and problem-solving support to technicians
Communicate work status to internal/external stakeholders
Prepare or review technical documentation and instructions
Requirements
Bachelor or Master's Degree in Engineering, emphasis in Mechanical or related engineering discipline
1 to 3 years' Experience of Creo-9.0 or higher version
Experience in new product development, including demonstrated ability to utilize engineering principles to solve business problems
Nice to have
Windchill 12.0 experience
Knowledge of IFS (ERP System)
Knowledge of Six Sigma Principles, DFSS (Design for Six Sigma), DFM&A (Design for Mfg. and Assembly), DFMEA/PFMEA and Hydraulic Components and their application preferred
Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 Standards
Knowledge of tools like ANSYS Fluent, CFX, Creo Simulate
