Job Description:

Design Engineer to help build next generation Developer Experience (DevEx) platform at Citi, joining a small, high-impact team shaping the daily lives of 50,000 engineers globally

Job Responsibility:

Build components used by engineers in production
Identify pain points in engineering workflow and solve them
Design in Figma
Build interaction design in Storybook
Ship finished UI components to production
Seek feedback through user testing sessions
Establish relationships with engineers across the organization
Capture metrics to show impact
Extract reusable patterns and best practices
Own parts of design and front-end implementations of complete workflows

Requirements:

Strong front-end engineering skills: Typescript (JS), React, CSS, and data visualisation tools like d3.js
Strong product/design skills: Proficient in Figma, interaction design, component reuse
Comfortable taking part in either formal or informal user research
Ability to innovate: Excited to push the boundaries in design and engineering
