Design engineer

• Design and development experience in Complete Seat Assembly and components
• Creates/develops/realizes designs in CATIA V5
• Active in development of concepts in accordance with customer or internal requirements
• Develops design concepts into qualitative cost effective designs
• Represents all design activities during product development, which calls for close co-operation with customer, project engineer and test engineer
• Interfaces and seeks agreement on design details, perhaps with customer/suppliers
• Lead the communication with customers and suppliers
• Ready to design and work as designer for Production-ready series design of the complete seat
• Investigation of complete seats, including all seat rows, of all types in cars and small commercial vehicles
• Capable of independently conduct CAD investigations in CATIA V5 and hardware to ensure compliance with customer and legal requirements for the scope of the complete seat
• Read and understand customer requirements and implementation of those requirements in Complete Seats
• Compilation and continuous updating of complete seat product structure in CATIA V5 as the design progresses
• Design of 3D kinematics, creation of envelope curves, application of advanced kinematic functions and doing the assembly studies
• The complete seat design engineer controls and coordinates the creation of CAD data for all kinds of releases at subcontractors
• The complete seat design engineer creates release documents for the release milestones
• Definition and implementation of requirements regarding to ensure the functions of individual components in the complete seat in coordination with customers and suppliers
• Responsible for internal Data management in Brose PDM and customer PDMs like KVS, Connect or SMARAGD

• Bachelor's degree (B. E or B. Tech.) in Mechanical engineering/Automotive engineering
• Between 5 to 9 years professional experience in automobile related industries preferred in automotive seat systems after university graduation in engineering degree
• Knowledge and experience of working in Automotive Complete Seat Design, development and assembly
• Knowledge and experience of working with Seat Components
• CAD designing using CATIA V5 3D and 2D
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Basic knowledge of design calculations of static and dynamical loads, deformation, pressure, mechanism travel and effort calculation etc
• Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience of working with North American customers will be preferred
