Job Responsibility
Design related project coordination from RFQ stage until production approval with collaboration of the project engineer
Propose and conduct concept drafts
Analysis of design interfaces between customer and supplier
Creates/develops/realizes designs in CAD within the agreed time and quality requirements
Responsible for functionality of created products
Design related VA/VE proposals which requires close working with team members from purchasing, quality, tooling, testing/simulation and project engineer
Represents all design activities during product development, which requires close co-operation with team engineers, component experts, HQ engineers, test engineers and project engineer. Independent member of the development team
Monitors and responsible for the quality of work from supporting engineers
Independent creation of designs, assembly drawings, single part drawings, bill of materials for new and series production products in accordance with: Brose standards and procedures

Perform technical calculations (strength, weight, package, performance), simulations (kinematics, FEM Catia GPS) and organize complex technical calculations and interpret results
Independent calculation of functional dimensions and tolerances in accordance with the results of testing and simulation
Provides support reaching agreements regarding design details
Active participation in APQP meetings with local suppliers and informal reviews with suppliers
Active participation in Development Team Meetings (EAK), in formal design/engineering reviews Checklist, DFMEA, FEM meetings, specification review, etc.), and informal reviews with development team engineers (Project-EW, VS, SN)
Ensures designs being made available in accordance in a timely manner to support releases (V0, V1 , V2 release, customer sample requests, test sample requests, etc.)
Support Benchmarking of products
Considers all valid procedures, job instructions and organizational instructions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B. E or B. Tech.) in Mechanical or Production or Automotive engineering is preferred or five years related professional experience in the automotive field and with experience in automotive mechanisms / mechatronics
or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: 5-8 Years
CAD design 3D and 2D CATIA V5
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Basic engineering calculations
Good Knowledge in metal and plastic design and manufacturing
Good Analytical skills
Knowledge on Side door mechanical components and interfaces
