Job Description:

Perform the design and development of parts or assemblies according to customer requests and in compliance with client and industry standards; Modify or perform 3D modeling of parts or assemblies; Develop and interpret plans, drawings, and technical specifications for various parts or assemblies; Correct and incorporate changes into technical drawings; Standardize 3D models and drawings according to client and industry standards; Analyze modification requests submitted; Research technical specification documentation when not provided by the client; Identify root causes and resolve problems; Provide technical support to production and engineering teams; Write quality procedures; Review assembly manuals; Perform research and development activities; Share technical knowledge with team members; Assist with project quotations; Assist in workload planning; Understand the AS9100 standards requirements related to the responsibilities of this position; Comply with the company’s QMS procedures and apply its tools when performing tasks; Perform any other related duties.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • DEC in Aeronautical Construction or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sector is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes
  • Proficiency with design and modeling software (CATIA V5 and 3DVia)
  • Proficiency with Material Resource Planning (MRP) software, such as SAP or BaaN
  • Knowledge of Mentor Graphics or Corel Draw is an asset
  • Knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, Smarteam, Enovia, and MBOM) is an asset
  • Bilingual: French and English, both written and spoken

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sector is an asset
