Requirements:
Establishing and managing protocols for the entire design phase, including setting up document control systems and tracking the progress of consultants
Serving as the primary point of contact between clients, internal project managers, and external design consultants (architects, MEP engineers, etc.)
Reviewing design submissions and shop drawings to ensure they comply with building codes, project specifications, and the client’s approved requirements
Maintaining the "Drawing Release Schedule" and "GFC (Good for Construction) Drawing Logs" to ensure that the site team never runs out of approved plans
Working with BIM teams for coordination (e.g., ensuring plumbing doesn't hit structural beams) and identifying cost-saving opportunities through value engineering
Monitoring design-related expenses, tracking allowances against actual costs, and managing change orders to prevent budget overruns
Organizing and chairing design meetings, recording minutes, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed by the relevant consultants
Proficiency in both design and management software
A degree in Architecture
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for reviewing technical plans
Proficiency in Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project for timeline tracking
Proficiency in document management systems like Planview or Jira for tracking issues and approvals
