Job Description:

The Design Architect is responsible for developing detailed construction documents and technical drawings for commercial architectural projects. This role works closely with project managers, project architects, and consultants to translate design concepts into accurate, coordinated construction documentation using Revit. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Revit and has a strong understanding of commercial building systems, codes, and construction processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and produce detailed construction documents and drawing sets using Revit for commercial projects
  • Translate conceptual designs into coordinated architectural plans, sections, elevations, and details
  • Assist project architects and project managers with design development and documentation throughout project phases
  • Coordinate drawings with structural, MEP, and other consulting disciplines
  • Maintain Revit models and ensure drawing accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company standards
  • Review drawings for constructability, code compliance, and completeness
  • Incorporate redlines and revisions from project leadership into drawing sets
  • Assist in preparing permit and construction document packages
  • Support project teams during the design development and construction documentation phases

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture
  • 2 plus years of experience creating construction documents for commercial/retail or similar projects
  • Revit Proficiency

Nice to have:

  • AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative proficiency
  • Master’s Degree in architecture
  • Professional Licensure
