Affinity Partnerships are looking for a full-time Teacher of Design & Technology to work on a fixed-term basis at one of our Bristol secondary schools. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver outstanding Design & Technology lessons across Product Design, Food Technology and Textiles, and ideally Art, inspiring students to develop creativity, problem-solving skills and confidence through hands-on learning. You will play a key role in supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes, while promoting independence, resilience and a passion for design and artistic expression. Working within a supportive and forward-thinking department, you will contribute to delivering an ambitious and inclusive curriculum aligned with high expectations for all learners. This is a full-time role with a provisional start date of September 2026. This is a permanent position in the school.
Job Responsibility
Deliver outstanding Design & Technology lessons across Product Design, Food Technology and Textiles, and ideally Art
Inspire students to develop creativity, problem-solving skills and confidence through hands-on learning
Support students to achieve excellent outcomes, while promoting independence, resilience and a passion for design and artistic expression
Contribute to delivering an ambitious and inclusive curriculum aligned with high expectations for all learners
Requirements
Have a sound understanding of Secondary Education
Have excellent literacy, Numeracy, and communication skills
Have confidence supporting the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
Have experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum
Will be a team player, as well as using their initiative and good sense of humour
Have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including Autism, Speech and language difficulties both in smalls groups and 1:1
Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job
