Design and Estimation Consultant

• Reviewing layout drawings and reading tender specifications, with a view to completing detailed take-offs to build out detailed quotations
• Consult and coordinate with sales, operations and commercial departments to ensure a comprehensive response to client tenders
• Support the sales/projects teams internally and in-client engagements by providing strong technical and commercial support
• Ensure quotations are returned within the required timescales and in-line with company procedures
• Produce accurate information that can be conveyed to the operations team in the form of Pre Contract Reviews in accordance with company procedures
• Develop and maintain relationships with local manufacturer and distributors to secure best pricing and industry insight
• Ensure BoMs are checked and validated and have been signed off by project stakeholders prior to submission to the client or internal procurement teams
• Actively engage in self-development and knowledge gathering of technology that is relevant to our industry and client requirements
• Responsible for the implementation of BS ISO/IEC 27001 data security management as it applies to your job role, while upholding the ethos of the standard, associated legislation, company procedures and policies

• Ability to manage and prioritise workload with little guidance or support
• A strong communicator that is comfortable working in a team environment across multiple countries and cultures
• A good understanding of construction programmes
• Excellent experience in providing costs and using costing tools
• Good industry knowledge and experience of structured cabling systems
• Potential to develop drawings and amend, create sketches and design drawings
• Data centre projects experience would be preferable
• Ability to travel abroad when required
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
