As a Design Admin Assistant at Honey Birdette, you will play a crucial supporting role in bringing our exquisite collections to life. Working alongside our senior technicians and designers, you'll assist in transforming visionary designs into high-quality garments that reflect the elegance and allure of our brand. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the development of garment specifications, contributing to the creation of technical drawings, and supporting the translation of designs into luxurious products. You'll work closely with our talented team to ensure that each piece meets our high standards for fit, comfort, and durability. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for intimate apparel, and a drive to develop their technical skills. Your contribution will help ensure that Honey Birdette continues to set the standard for impeccable quality and seductive appeal in the world of intimate fashion.
Job Responsibility:
Adhere to the Design Critical Path (CP), by meeting all deadlines and flagging risks early while providing possible solutions
Monitor supplier's developments to ensure product is reaching our HB standard in quality and efficiencies
Maintain and update development and design tracking documents daily
Actively contribute to launch meetings, option plans, creative share days and inspiration sessions
Prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations with research and mood boards
Collaborate with Retail team to ensure alignment with target customer and market needs
Support storyboard development and Technical CAD creation (lingerie and non-lingerie categories)
Review and prepare for Critical Path triggers, ensuring your prioritisation aligns with business needs
Support creation and updates of tech packs with a growth mindset to feedback
Build professional, solution-focused relationships with suppliers
attend fortnightly calls
Track and manage sampling, fit comments, storage and process improvements
Manage lab dip, fabrication and bulk submission approvals with clear commercial judgement
Support production handover with accurate documentation (CADs, trackers, samples, handover emails)
Coordinate photoshoot samples and book/track all shipments
Maintain and organise the design space, participate in retail feedback sessions and conduct regular store visits
Requirements:
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Degree or equivalent accredited course in Fashion
1 year experience in Fashion industry or Fashion Retail preferred but not required
