Are you passionate about food and enjoy identifying flavors, textures, and aromas? We are seeking a Descriptive Sensory Panelist to join a trained sensory evaluation team. In this role, you will evaluate a variety of meat and plant-based food products, provide detailed sensory feedback, and help support product research and development. Selected candidates will participate in a paid training program to learn how to objectively evaluate food products using standardized sensory analysis techniques. Upon successful completion of training, panelists may be considered for ongoing, long-term panel sessions.
Job Responsibility
Evaluate a variety of food products for taste, texture, aroma, appearance, and other sensory characteristics
Accurately describe and rate product attributes using standardized evaluation methods
Participate in sensory panel discussions and work collaboratively to reach objective evaluations
Record observations and provide detailed written and verbal feedback
Attend all required training sessions and scheduled panel evaluations
Follow testing procedures and maintain confidentiality regarding products being evaluated
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to distinguish subtle differences in taste, smell, and texture
Comfortable tasting various food products, including meat and plant-based alternatives
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow standardized procedures
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
