Position Summary: The role involves assisting during various medical procedures by positioning patients, preparing the room, and handling imaging tasks while ensuring proper documentation and equipment management. Additionally, it requires maintaining supportive interactions with patients and families, addressing their needs, and explaining procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Assisting During Procedures: This involves positioning and holding patients during various procedures such as laser treatments, biopsies, excisions, phototherapy, injections, or testing, and obtaining photographic images as directed by the physician.
Procedure Preparation: Preparing both the patient and the room for procedures, which includes setting up and arranging instruments, preparing procedure kits, and labeling specimens taken.
Documentation and Imaging: Developing, labeling, and documenting images at the completion of the procedure, as well as documenting, reporting, or delivering any specialty labs done in the clinic.
Equipment and Inventory Management: Maintaining all photography equipment and database, overseeing regulatory guidelines, scheduling preventative maintenance, and monitoring inventory to identify and report items to be reordered.
Patient and Family Interaction: Establishing supportive relationships with patients and families, identifying specific needs, explaining examination procedures, and answering questions within the scope of knowledge and authority.
Requirements:
