Dermatology Scribe

• Accompany providers throughout the entire patient medical appointment, either virtually or on-site
• Transcribe interactions during the appointment into a high-quality, comprehensive preliminary note for physician sign-off
• Send all preliminary documentation for physician review promptly
• Make any necessary amendments/changes to approach based on physician feedback
• Develop a close working relationship with providers
• Maintain a repository of historical/current physician templates/dot phrases
• Attend department meetings as needed or directed
• Assist with other administrative clerical duties related to factors affecting physician clinics

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Associate’s degree in health science or another medical field preferred
• Understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnostic tests
• Ability to accurately transcribe patient interactions into comprehensive preliminary notes for physician review
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of transcribed notes
