Job Description

Step into the role of Derivatives Middle Office at Barclays. In this role, you will be responsible for trade lifecycle and post trade amendments in risk as well as process controls and leading process re-engineering initiatives to align with Global Markets Operations objectives. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of risk management, Equity Derivative products, risk and PnL impacts, risk and control, and process optimization. A focus on continuous improvement, data validation, and efficient control management is essential for success in this role. Additionally, strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels are crucial.

Job Responsibility

  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in Equity Derivatives
  • Strong Structured and Flow Equity Derivative product knowledge including trade capture and lifecycle processes
  • Solid risk and control mindset
  • Attention to detail with a proactive check and challenge approach
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, especially with senior audiences in control forums
