Job Description:

The Deputy Team Manager for the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, coordinated safeguarding services to vulnerable children and families. Reporting directly to the MASH Team Manager, this role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations within the hub, ensuring the effective triage, assessment, and prioritization of cases to deliver timely responses to safeguarding concerns.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and prioritise referrals, ensuring timely assessments for safeguarding cases
Coordinate with partner agencies to facilitate joint decision-making and case assessments
Guide the team in adhering to safeguarding protocols and statutory requirements
Provide mentorship and support for staff growth and consistency in practice
Conduct audits to ensure assessments align with safeguarding standards
Act as a point of escalation for high-risk cases, making prompt decisions to reduce risks

Requirements:

2 years experience post qualification
Action safeguarding procedures
