Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Team Manager for our Disabled Children’s Service team on a permanent basis. The Disabled Children and Young People’s Early Help Team supports children and young people who are aged 0- 18 years old with significant needs arising from their disability. The team aims to ensure that disabled children and their families have access to a needs-led service that promotes resilience, co-production and improves children’s life chances.

Job Responsibility:

  • ensuring we offer advice, guidance and support at the earliest opportunity
  • signing off and agreeing EHCP contributions
  • making decisions to complete single assessments with families in line with the eligibility criteria
  • supervise and support staff
  • undertake statutory social worker tasks

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registration
  • a full driving licence and willingness to drive
  • DBS clearance (Enhanced Adults & Children’s)
  • to have completed your ASYE year (if you qualified after 2012)
