Assist the Support Manager in leading teams, to deliver person-centered support that meets regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements. Ensure that practice leadership is developed, recognised and reflected in all we do.
Job Responsibility:
Mentor teams
Coach support staff and drive continuous improvement
Work on shift as part of the working rota
Act as a role model of best practice
Support people to design their support plans
Assist with rota management
Help maintain records
Address concerns
Conduct audits
Deputise for the Support Manager when needed
Empower individuals, promote inclusion, rights & independence
Adhere to policies and act as an ambassador for the company
Requirements:
Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above (England) or SCQF 7 or above (Scotland)
Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities
Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software)
Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations
A full uk driving licence is essential for this role
Nice to have:
Leadership or coaching experience is desirable
