Thera Camden Society has an exciting opportunity available for a Deputy Support Manager to join our team based in Witney, Oxfordshire. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,856.62 per annum. At The Camden Society, we believe people with a learning disability should be leaders in society. We are looking for a Deputy Support Manager to assist the Support Manager in leading teams, to deliver person-centred support that meets regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Support Manager in leading teams to deliver person-centred support
Mentor teams and coach support staff
Drive continuous improvement
Work on shift as part of the working rota
Act as a role model of best practice
Support people to design their support plans
Assist with rota management
Help maintain records
Address concerns
Conduct audits
Deputise for the Support Manager when needed
Empower individuals, promote inclusion, rights & independence
Adhere to policies and act as an ambassador for the company
Requirements:
Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above (England) or SCQF 7 or above (Scotland)
Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities
Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software)
Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations
Must hold a full UK drivers licence and have access to your own vehicle to travel between support addresses
Nice to have:
Leadership or coaching experience is desirable
