Job Description

Thera Camden Society has an exciting opportunity available for a Deputy Support Manager to join our team based in Witney, Oxfordshire. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,856.62 per annum. At The Camden Society, we believe people with a learning disability should be leaders in society. We are looking for a Deputy Support Manager to assist the Support Manager in leading teams, to deliver person-centred support that meets regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist the Support Manager in leading teams to deliver person-centred support
  • Mentor teams and coach support staff
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Work on shift as part of the working rota
  • Act as a role model of best practice
  • Support people to design their support plans
  • Assist with rota management
  • Help maintain records
  • Address concerns
  • Conduct audits
  • Deputise for the Support Manager when needed
  • Empower individuals, promote inclusion, rights & independence
  • Adhere to policies and act as an ambassador for the company

Requirements

  • Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above (England) or SCQF 7 or above (Scotland)
  • Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software)
  • Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations
  • Must hold a full UK drivers licence and have access to your own vehicle to travel between support addresses

Nice to have

Leadership or coaching experience is desirable
