Job Description:

Deputy Store Manager at Fortnum & Mason's Royal Exchange store. A role where heritage, service excellence and inspiring leadership come together every day. Reporting to and working in close partnership with the Store Manager, instrumental in ensuring the store continues to deliver world‑class service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Championing exceptional customer service and ensuring our service standards are consistently exceeded
  • Leading, motivating and developing a talented sales team, cultivating a culture of growth, engagement and excellence
  • Overseeing store operations, ensuring impeccable presentation, stock accuracy, and operational efficiency
  • Analysing and reporting on KPIs and trade performance, communicating insights to the executive team and wider business
  • Building strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive commercial and cultural success

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing and developing a high‑performing, diverse retail team
  • Confidence with HR processes and recruitment within a retail setting
  • The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong IT, analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret financial and business data
  • Full flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
