Job Description

The Deputy Security Manager supports the Security Manager in the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of site security operations. The role ensures that security activities are executed in compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and local regulations, and assumes responsibility in the absence of the Security Manager.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the Security Manager in implementing and maintaining security procedures, plans, and controls
  • Supervise daily security operations, including access control, site protection, and movement control
  • Coordinate and monitor security subcontractors and guard services to ensure compliance with approved requirements
  • Assist in managing security incidents, investigations and emergency situations, ensuring proper escalation and reporting
  • Conducting security risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures
  • Ensure security awareness and compliance among project personnel
  • Liaise with site management, HSE and relevant authorities as required
  • Prepare security reports, incident logs, and operational updates

Requirements

  • University degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Management, or a related discipline (preferred)
  • Professional security certifications are an advantage
  • Minimum 18 years of experience in security roles within EPC, oil & gas, or large industrial projects
  • Experience in site-based security operations and contractor supervision
  • Previous experience as Deputy Security Manager, Security Supervisor, or Senior Security Coordinator is preferred
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making under pressure
  • Effective communication and reporting skills
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken)
  • Attention to detail, management skills

  • Extensive, hands-on experience on US drone/UAV systems, ideally gained within US-based organizations or programs
  • Strong familiarity with US technologies, standards, and operational environment
  • Proven experience in air operations management, UAS or C-UAS operations (military, police, aviation, industrial security)
  • Strong understanding of drone and counter-drone tactics and technologies (RF, radar, EO/IR, jamming)

  • Ensure full management of the Project's airspace security, including all UAS (drone) operations and C-UAS (counter drone) systems
  • Plan, conduct, and supervise security flight missions (surveillance, reconnaissance, area assessment) in coordination with Area 4, the civil aviation authority and all UAS/C UAS service providers
  • Coordinate with local aviation authorities and internal teams involved in air-related security operations
  • Maintain continuous Airspace Situational Awareness (ASA) for all critical activities
  • Ensure all airspace security operations comply with Security SOPs, VPSHR, and applicable regulations
  • Provide daily analysis, reports, and alerts on aerial, onshore and offshore activity around the Project area
  • Supervise drone and counter drone teams, ensuring qualification, discipline, and adherence to operational standards
