Elementa is recruiting for a Deputy Programme Lead of Maths for this popular Secondary School in Weston-super-Mare. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the leadership and development of the Maths department, contributing to high-quality teaching, curriculum planning, and student achievement.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Programme Lead in the leadership and management of the Maths department
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages
Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing effective feedback and intervention strategies
Contribute to curriculum development and assessment planning within the department
Mentor and support colleagues to promote high standards of teaching and learning
Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Work collaboratively with senior leaders and departmental staff to drive continuous improvement
Keep up to date with developments in the Maths curriculum and implement innovative teaching approaches
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level
Experience in, or readiness for, a leadership or management role within a department
Strong subject knowledge and passion for Mathematics education
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
