Lead with Faith. Shape a unified Prep-12 community. Illawarra Christian School is seeking a Christ-centred, relational, and strategic leader to join our Executive Team as Deputy Principal. This is a pivotal role for an experienced educator who is passionate about Christian education, thrives in collaborative leadership, and desires to serve Christ by shaping people, culture, and practice across a flourishing Prep–12 school. Full-time - ongoing appointment. Commencing 2027. About the Role: The Deputy Principal works in close partnership with the Principal and Directors to provide cohesive leadership across the whole school. You will play a central role in: Strengthening alignment between vision, strategy, and daily practice; Supporting high-quality teaching, wellbeing, and Christian formation; Building a unified, high-performing leadership culture; Ensuring effective and consistent school operations. This role provides leadership continuity and influence at the highest level of the school. The Leader We're Seeking: You are a leader who is deeply grounded in Christian faith and actively involved in church life; Leads with humility, conviction, wisdom, and grace; Builds trust and alignment through strong relationships; Thinks strategically while remaining people-focused; Believes education shapes hearts, minds, and lives; Is calm, courageous, and steady in complexity and change. Experience in Christian education and senior school leadership is highly regarded. Applicants must have a right to work in Australia and hold current NESA Accreditation. What You'll Lead: Executive leadership and whole-school improvement; Teaching and learning across Primary and Secondary; Student wellbeing and pastoral care; Christian formation and school culture; Staff leadership, development, and growth; School operations, systems, and community engagement. You will lead through others, working closely with Directors to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency across Prep–12. Salary and Benefits: Salary and conditions under the Christians Schools NSW Teaching Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023. Position Description: Deputy Principal.
