Job Description:

Deputy People & Culture Manager role focuses on implementing the people strategy and fostering co-worker experience while ensuring management of HR and leadership-related tasks within IKEA Roma.

Job Responsibility:

  • Business partner and contributor for Unit Management Team and lead the unit People and Culture team
  • Be part of IKEA Roma City steering team for driving People agenda topics
  • Lead and develop unit P&C team to provide excellent co-worker experience
  • Operationally implement people strategy and global principles
  • Influence unit management teams to develop local leadership capabilities
  • Build local business competence and performance by setting relevant goals
  • Deliver learning and training at unit level
  • Ensure consistent local employer communication that builds on the IKEA brand
  • Secure an up-to-date succession process and plan with managers
  • Be a good example of IKEA leadership
  • Implement co-worker relations plan locally and ensure adherence to labour principles and laws
  • Distribute budget hours between departments responsibly

Requirements:

  • Strong consolidated experience of at least 2 years in P&C area and relevant experience in leading a group of people
  • Passionate about people, strong belief in individuals’ potential and ability to lead business through people
  • Ability to implement long-term plans according to set budgets and goals, developing virtual and other collaborative relationships to facilitate objectives
  • Ability to work independently, take initiatives, be a team-player, and influence and inspire others
  • Demonstrate different leadership styles depending on situations
  • Knowledge of identifying, assessing, encouraging, and ensuring performance against organisational and individual goals
  • Ability to manage partnership models and build trustful relationships
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and develop potential successors for key positions
  • Open to working on multisite locations
  • Available for relocation within the organisation
  • Good knowledge of English and Italian
