Job Responsibility:

  • Be part of IKEA Roma City steering team for driving all People agenda topics of IKEA Roma
  • Lead and develop the unit P&C team to provide excellent co-worker experience
  • Ensure the people strategy, global principles/guidelines, and business plans are operationally implemented
  • Influence unit management teams to continuously develop local leadership capabilities within their function
  • Support building local business competence and performance by setting and working on relevant goals
  • Deliver learning and training at unit level supported by P&C team or Market Area Learning Delivery Specialist
  • Ensure local employer communication is consistent and builds on the IKEA brand
  • Secure succession process and plan by influencing managers to develop talents and high-performing potentials
  • Be an example of IKEA leadership that expresses the IKEA values
  • Implement co-worker relations plan to manage local interactions with co-workers and ensure compliance with local policies and law
  • Work with Business Navigation Manager to distribute budget hours enabling an effective and efficient people planning process

Requirements:

  • Strong consolidated experience of at least 2 years in P&C area and relevant experience in leading a group of people
  • Passionate about people with a strong belief in individuals’ potential
  • Ability to implement long-term plans according to set budgets and goals
  • Ability to work independently, take own initiatives and responsibility
  • Team-player with ability to influence and inspire
  • Demonstrate appropriate use of different leadership styles for different situations
  • Knowledge of identifying, assessing, encouraging, and ensuring co-workers’ performance against organizational and individual goals
  • Ability to use, govern, and manage partnership models in a responsible way
  • Knowledge of anticipating, identifying, and developing potential successors for key positions in IKEA
  • Open to work on multisite locations
  • Available to relocate for future opportunities within the organization
  • Good knowledge of English and Italian
