Job Responsibility:
Supporting the Home Manager with the operational leadership of a medium sized specialist dementia home
Providing strong, visible leadership to care staff and team leaders
Working hands-on within the service to role model high-quality residential and dementia care
Overseeing care planning and medication systems
Supporting audits and quality assurance processes
Ensuring compliance with CQC standards and preparing for upcoming inspections
Promoting a positive, person-centred culture in line with the provider’s family values
Supporting staff development, supervision and performance management
Requirements:
Proven experience within a dementia residential care home setting
Experience at Deputy Manager level of at least two years
Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and inspection processes
Experience with care planning and medication systems
A Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care (desirable but not essential)
A hands-on leadership style and a passion for high-quality dementia care
