Deputy Manager

• Ensure young people receive individual support, maintain family contact, and are prepared for adulthood
• Create a homely, safe, and well-maintained environment that respects privacy and encourages positive social behavior
• Oversee planned admissions and discharges, ensuring stability within the home
• Assist in the development and implementation of care plans, therapeutic strategies (including the PACE Model), and risk assessments
• Provide leadership, guidance, and management to the staff team
• Be responsible for the recruitment, induction, supervision, and appraisal of staff
• Ensure all staff receive monthly supervision and are supported in their professional development
• Manage staffing levels, rotas, and emergency cover
• Maintain accurate records, logbooks, and high-quality review reports
• Provide necessary information and notifications to the Care Inspectorate
• Manage and operate delegated budgets, monitoring expenditure to prevent overspending
• Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety requirements for both staff and young people
• Promote the safety and welfare of residents, responding appropriately to any allegations of abuse or neglect
• Participate in the on-call system for the service
