We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Manager to join us ahead of opening and help establish a culture defined by excellence, accountability and professional pride. This is a rare opportunity to shape a home from its very beginning. Working in close partnership with the Home Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in setting standards, building a high-performing team and embedding a culture that reflects both clinical excellence and premium hospitality.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing strong clinical oversight at home level, ensuring safe, person-centred care is consistently delivered
  • leading governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement processes
  • supporting regulatory compliance and maintaining excellent Care Inspectorate standards
  • acting up in the Home Manager's absence and participating in the on-call rota
  • contributing to workforce planning, succession development and performance management
  • monitoring operational performance and supporting delivery of the home's objectives
  • building strong, professional relationships with residents, families and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RLDN) with active NMC registration
  • proven experience within a care home setting
  • strong clinical leadership and sound knowledge of Scottish regulatory frameworks
  • confidence in managing governance responsibilities and operational performance
  • ability to inspire, mentor and develop colleagues at all levels
  • commercial awareness and understanding of how quality care and business performance align
  • calm, decisive approach to leadership
  • genuine commitment to continuous learning and improvement
