Consensus is a community dedicated to inspiring and empowering people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The role is at Daisy Meadows, a newly developed specialist Supported Living service in Littlehampton offering 6 self-contained apartments.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide leadership to colleagues within the team and support the Service Manager in the daily management & running of the service
  • Help the people we support to engage in meaningful opportunities and activities
  • Manage, deliver & lead high-quality care as part of the team using a person centred approach
  • Get involved in the community, support during leisure and social activities, and celebrate special occasions
  • Communicate appropriately, considering individual communication needs

  • Supervise visits and liaise with GPs in order to establish a good relationship between GPs / Health Care Professionals and the Care Home
  • Ensure a clear and concise handover report is given to all Staff Members
  • Arrange / participate in Staff and Resident meetings as and when required
  • Take responsibility for Resident care, as designated by the Home Manager in his / her absence and the absence of the Deputy Home Manager
  • Assess social and health care needs of new Residents, and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other Residents
