The Project Quality-Dy Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the entire manufacturing process. This individual will lead a team of quality professionals, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automotive quality systems, extensive experience in plant operations, and a proven track record of achieving measurable quality improvements.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians
Develop and implement quality strategies and objectives aligned with company goals
Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the plant
Manage the plant's quality budget and resources effectively
Maintain and improve the plant's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other relevant standards
Ensure compliance with all customer-specific requirements and regulatory standards
Oversee internal and external quality audits, including preparation and follow-up activities
Manage PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC processes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction
Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for quality issues
Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of defects
Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven methods to monitor and improve process performance
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components
Conduct supplier audits and evaluations
Manage supplier quality issues and drive improvement initiatives
Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues
Participate in customer meetings and audits
Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer complaints
Develop and present quality performance reports to senior management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation
Implement and manage digital quality systems
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) required
Master's degree preferred
Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in plant quality management within the automotive industry
Extensive knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards
Proven experience in leading and managing quality teams
Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and quality tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Experience with digital quality management systems is highly desirable
Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred
Demonstrated experience in working directly with OEM clients
