The Project Quality-Dy Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the entire manufacturing process. This individual will lead a team of quality professionals, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automotive quality systems, extensive experience in plant operations, and a proven track record of achieving measurable quality improvements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians
  • Develop and implement quality strategies and objectives aligned with company goals
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the plant
  • Manage the plant's quality budget and resources effectively
  • Maintain and improve the plant's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other relevant standards
  • Ensure compliance with all customer-specific requirements and regulatory standards
  • Oversee internal and external quality audits, including preparation and follow-up activities
  • Manage PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for quality issues
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of defects
  • Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven methods to monitor and improve process performance
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components
  • Conduct supplier audits and evaluations
  • Manage supplier quality issues and drive improvement initiatives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues
  • Participate in customer meetings and audits
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer complaints
  • Develop and present quality performance reports to senior management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation
  • Implement and manage digital quality systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in plant quality management within the automotive industry
  • Extensive knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards
  • Proven experience in leading and managing quality teams
  • Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and quality tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with digital quality management systems is highly desirable
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in working directly with OEM clients
