Job Description:

Manages the purchasing activities and team by 1) taking part in the implementation and execution of the action plans, 2) overseeing the efficient purchasing process and procedures, and 3) ensuring that these take place efficiently, on time, and with the correct documentation. Supervises day-to-day purchasing activities and the team, managing a smaller group of people.

  • Drive professionalism, effectiveness, and efficiency within the procurement function by delivering measurable bottom-line cost savings
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, preferential pricing, improved payment terms, and strategic partnerships
  • Ensure compliance with all general, legal, and corporate requirements related to Quality, Health, Safety, Sustainability, and Environment (QHSSE)
  • Train the procurement team and key users
  • Communicate purchasing policies, processes, and best practices
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the Purchasing team
  • Reporting to the Country Procurement Manager
  • Support the implementation of global procurement strategies and roadmaps at the country level
  • Drive high performance against key procurement and purchasing indicators
  • Assist in developing and executing the country roadmap for the transformation of the Purchasing organization
  • Ensure delivery of value to the Fugro business by tracking progress against the roadmap and reporting on savings and value creation
  • Monitor, share, and improve key metrics
  • Report on key initiatives related to value creation and bottom-line savings from third-party spend
  • Collaborate in the country-level rollout of relevant ERP systems and purchasing tools
  • Provide ongoing support as required
