Job Responsibility

To support the Registered Manager in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures in line with OFSTED regulations
To safeguard and promote the welfare and development of all our young people
To ensure that all young people’s needs are being met and recognise changes in behaviour that may include updating young people’s individual risk assessments/care plans
To ensure that the team are providing a safe environment that is meeting the needs of the young people that we are caring for
To undertake supervisions with senior support workers and residential support workers and recognise strengths and weaknesses within the team that need addressing to support professional development
To be proactive in responding to safeguarding concerns in the home and follow the correct processes in place
To assist the registered manager with interviews and safer recruitment checks
To complete the rota for the home ensuring that the correct staffing levels are maintained for each young person
To act as a key career or supporting key career for our young people and build good trusting relationships
To update care plans and risk assessments and put child focused plans in place to best support the young people to flourish and grow

Minimum Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) or equivalent

Job Responsibility

Working alongside the Manager to oversee the day to day running of the Residential Home
Ensuring that our Young People receive the highest standard of support/care appropriate to their individual needs
Providing advice, assistance, and support to Young People, safeguarding their welfare at all times
Line Managing a team of staff as set out by the Home Manager
Completing supervisions, appraisals and probationary review meetings with team members as required
Ensuring that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
Ensuring shifts are planned with Residential Support Workers, to take the lead on shift and be responsible for the events on the shift
Attending to Young People’s practical, physical, and emotional needs and acting as an appropriate role model
Working closely with Young People to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential
Completing written reports and documentation
