WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED DEPUTY MANAGER TO JOIN A 4‑BEDDED CHILDREN'S RESIDENTIAL HOME SUPPORTING THREE YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE CARMARTHENSHIRE AREA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to step into a key leadership position and help shape positive outcomes for children and young people.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading staff to deliver safe, nurturing and consistent care
  • Supporting the Registered Manager with compliance, safeguarding and day‑to‑day operations
  • Planning and supervising Monday-Friday shifts to maintain high‑quality standards
  • Mentoring, supervising and developing staff in line with organisational expectations
  • Ensuring all care/pathway plans are understood, implemented and regularly reviewed
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed and compliant records, logs and documentation

Requirements

  • QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a residential children's setting, including leading shifts
  • A full manual driving licence
  • Strong communication, leadership and decision‑making skills
  • A passion for supporting young people and developing staff teams
  • Must be 21+ due to care regulations
