WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED DEPUTY MANAGER TO JOIN A 4‑BEDDED CHILDREN'S RESIDENTIAL HOME SUPPORTING FOUR YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE NEATH PORT TALBOT AREA. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to step into a key leadership position while making a real difference to the lives of young people.
Job Responsibility:
Leading and inspiring staff using a trauma‑informed, outcome‑focused approach
Supporting the Registered Manager with compliance, safeguarding and operational oversight
Planning and supervising shifts Monday-Friday to maintain consistent, high‑quality care
Coaching, mentoring and supervising staff to support their development
Ensuring care/pathway plans are followed and regularly reviewed
Maintaining clear, accurate and compliant records and documentation
Requirements:
QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)
At least 2 years' experience in a residential children's care setting, including shift leading
A full manual driving licence (6 points or fewer)
Strong communication and leadership skills
A passion for supporting young people and developing staff teams
Must be 21+ due to care regulations
