We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team at Ashdown Care. This is a full-time role supporting a young person with complex needs in a 3-bed children’s home. You will work alongside the Registered Manager to deliver high-quality, child-centred care, ensuring the young person’s needs are met in a safe, supportive environment. The role includes weekend shifts and 1 sleep-in per week.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Registered Manager in leading and managing the home, ensuring compliance with regulations and high-quality care
Supervise and support staff to deliver person-centred care and maintain a positive environment
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and risk assessments are regularly reviewed
Lead by example, promoting continuous improvement and reflective practice within the team
Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
Contribute to the Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 monitoring processes
Prepare the home for Ofsted inspections and ensure compliance with Ofsted standards
Requirements:
Minimum Level 3/4 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care
At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting
Experience in supervising or mentoring staff
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and Ofsted regulations
Full UK driving licence
Flexible, with the ability to work weekends and undertake sleep-ins
