Job Description:

We are looking for an organised and caring Deputy Manager to join our established team at Dovehaven Residential Home. You will be required to work 4 days a week - 8am- 8pm, 3 x shift on the floor & x1 shift supernumerary with some weekends included, and on call will be on a rota basis- 44hr contract. We work closely with residents to develop a joint care plan and encourage involvement in activities that suit individual personal interests and abilities. We pride ourselves on being a high-quality residential care provider that strives to deliver a first class service to all residents.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting the Registered Home Manager in managing and developing high quality services for all our residents
  • Management and development of the staff team
  • Instill a culture of care and continuous improvement across the service
  • Actively working with the team, our residents and their families to develop a Centre of excellence for person centred care
  • Ensure the promotion of high standards of care
  • Fulfill the duties of the Home Manager where required
  • Ensuring the home runs in accordance with CQC guidelines
  • Ensuring the team are managed appropriately
  • Ensuring the home is run in a smooth and efficient manner

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a similar environment
  • Track record in leading, motivating, managing and developing staff
  • Clear understanding of leadership responsibilities in elderly/social care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven management experience within the sector
  • Relevant qualifications
  • Self motivated, resilient and well organised

  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the home
  • Be conversant with the company/homes polices and procedures and the regulatory framework
  • Ensure all care plans, risk assessment, audit and other agreed outcome measures are an integral part of the residents care
  • Undertake regular audits to assess the quality of care
  • Continue to build a positive reputation of the home and liaise professionally with visitors
