Job Description:

As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll be making sure the level of clinical care we offer goes beyond just professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. This means providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervising/coaching colleagues to provide a service that’s unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues.

Job Responsibility:

  • Making sure the level of clinical care goes beyond professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements
  • Providing specialist nursing support and advice
  • Taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence
  • Supervising/coaching colleagues to provide a service with unparalleled empathy for resident issues

Requirements:

  • Valid NMC Pin
  • Knowledge of National Standards and the NMC code of practice
  • Background in person-centred care planning within a care home
  • Positive energy and natural ability to get along with people
  • Ability to mentor
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to keep meaningful records
  • Considerate and kind communication
  • Ability to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns
  • Attendance at safeguarding training appropriate to role
  • Ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken
