Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced care professional to step into a Deputy Home Manager role with a leading UK care provider. The role offers strong support from senior leadership, excellent development opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful difference to the lives of residents and staff within the home.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day management of the home
  • Take responsibility for the service in the Home Manager’s absence
  • Lead shifts and supervise the care team to ensure high standards of care delivery
  • Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and supervision
  • Ensure care plans, documentation, and medication management are maintained to a high standard
  • Support with audits, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within an elderly residential or dementia care home
  • Experience in a Deputy Manager, Senior Care, or Team Leader position
  • Strong understanding of care planning, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience supporting staff, supervising shifts, and maintaining care standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
