We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join our senior leadership team. This role is ideal for an ambitious education professional who is ready to take on significant leadership responsibility, with a clear pathway to Headteacher for the right candidate. The Deputy Headteacher will work closely with the Headteacher and proprietors to lead teaching and learning, support staff development, ensure high standards across the school, and contribute to the school’s strategic growth.
Job Responsibility:
Provide strong academic and pastoral leadership across the school
Support and mentor teaching staff to maintain outstanding teaching and learning
Contribute to curriculum design, assessment, and data-driven improvement
Assist in ensuring compliance with UK independent school standards and inspection frameworks (Ofsted/ISI)
Work collaboratively with senior leaders, governors, parents, and external professionals
Promote the school’s ethos, values, and commitment to pupil success
Requirements:
Significant experience in a senior leadership role (Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, or Assistant Headteacher) within a UK school
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum, assessment, and pupil progress tracking
Proven ability to raise standards and contribute to whole-school improvement
Sound understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and inspection requirements
Experience working effectively with leadership teams and school stakeholders
Nice to have:
Postgraduate qualification in Education (e.g. PGCE, QTS, Master’s in Education)
Strategic leadership experience and understanding of school development planning
Experience engaging positively with parents and the wider community
Awareness of working within a multicultural and Islamic ethos based school environment
Interest or experience in school promotion, outreach, or communications
