Haywards Farm School is a specialist School for learners who have multiple needs such as social, emotional and mental health needs, past trauma, ASD and ADHD. Amegreen Education works with students on personalised programs and where possible transitions students back into mainstream within key points, aligned with EHCP key stages. We are looking for a confident leader to join Haywards Farm School as our Deputy Head Teacher leading on excellent practice in teaching and learning and overseeing our whole school curriculum. The successful candidate will be joining a team of professional, enthusiastic and committed colleagues who work hard to support all children to achieve both personally and academically. We offer a strong ethos of high expectation and inclusion; children are well supported and thrive in this learning environment. Together with the Head of School, the candidate will work to ensure the smooth and effective day to day running of the school following an inspiring and pupil focused engaging curriculum. As a small school we are looking for a leader who can promote and demonstrate outstanding teaching and learning to use your talents to make a real difference to future outcomes for children with complex SEN needs. You will bring experience and a track record of successes. You will be able to show dedication and commitment to meeting the EHCP needs of children within the SEN Classroom and ability to adapt to children’s changing needs. Haywards Farm School are looking for someone with a good understanding of whole school strategic thinking and can consider the impact and link between attendance, engagement and academic progress to social, emotional, communication and mental health needs.
Job Responsibility:
Leading on excellent practice in teaching and learning
Overseeing our whole school curriculum

Requirements:
Good honours degree in subject and QTS
Evidence of continuous professional development
10 years of teaching experience
Able to teach KS1, KS2 and KS3 effectively in a subject area, a sound knowledge and understanding of current curriculum developments
Prior experience of leadership within the educational sector
Ability to adapt teaching for different needs
Positive and engaging teaching style, able to lead, motivate, inspire and support students to achieve excellence
