An opportunity has arisen in our Front of House team and we are looking for someone to join us as our Deputy Front of House Manager (evening dining) at Bettys Cafe Tearooms in Bettys York.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead evening dining on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights
  • Report to the Front of House Manager
  • Lead & inspire a team of waiter/waitress/retail assistants to deliver operational excellence & exceptional customer service
  • Role model the behaviours within the Expectations Framework
  • Support the Department Manager in delivering the business plan & KPI’s
  • Balance day to day operational delivery with a proactive strategic outlook
  • Full line management responsibility for a small team of waiter/waitress/retail assistants
  • Ensure due diligence training, relevant skills & craft training are maintained

Requirements

  • Background of working in and organising a busy cafe
  • Experience in managing and motivating a team
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ideally previous experience of working to KPI’s such as labour budgets
