Job Description:

As a result of the Trust’s growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to join our Central team as Deputy Director of SEND and Safeguarding. Working closely with Ladan Shirazi, our Director of SEND and Safeguarding, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that some of our most vulnerable pupils have the highest standards of care and that a culture of safeguarding is embedded in all SET schools.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensuring vulnerable pupils have the highest standards of care
  • Embedding a culture of safeguarding in all SET schools
  • Working closely with the Director of SEND and Safeguarding
  • Representing the trust to a variety of stakeholders
  • Initially focusing on either Safeguarding or SEND
  • Developing understanding and expertise in both SEND and safeguarding over time

Requirements:

  • Experience of senior leadership in either primary or secondary settings
  • Excellent people and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Knowledge and credibility to have an immediate impact in SEND and safeguarding
