Job Description:

Part of the Finance team, the Deputy Director of Finance is a strategic and rewarding role at Migrant Help. As Deputy Director of Finance for Migrant Help’s trading subsidiary Clear Voice, you will be a key member of the Migrant Help group finance team, providing strategic and operational financial support to enable sustainable growth, informed decision making, and maximise social impact. You will be a member of the Clear Voice Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and act as a bridge between MH group finance and subsidiary finance team, coordinating financial strategy, budgeting and investment. The role holder will advise the CEO, the SLT and functional leads on financial strategy and performance. You will contribute to business planning, forecasting, and commercial decision-making to align subsidiary financial goals with wider group strategic objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partner with the Senior Leadership team and Budget Holders to develop budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics aligned to the organisational goals
  • Provide financial analysis and insight to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and service development
  • Monitor financial performance, highlight risks and opportunities and support corrective actions
  • Support the development of pricing models and cost recovery strategies for commercial contracts
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, charity regulations and contractual obligations
  • Prepare and present regular management information packs, variance analysis and financial reports for internal stakeholders at Senior Leadership and Board Level
  • Collaborate with the central charity finance team to ensure alignment on consolidated reporting and governance
  • Contribute to funding applications and social impact reporting where required
  • Lead on the annual external financial audit, working closely with the central charity finance team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
  • Track record of working collaboratively with non-finance stakeholders to influence strategy and performance
  • Strong understanding of cost drivers, pricing strategies and financial sustainability within a service based organisation
  • Familiarity with key financial KPIs and performance metrics
  • Ability to analyse complex financial data, identify trends and provide clear, actionable insights
  • Skilled in interpreting variances, forecasting performance and modelling financial scenarios
  • Be able to provide documents to show their right to work in the UK
  • Provide full employment history for the previous 3 years and/or suitable documentation to cover any gaps in employment
