Maternity Leave Cover. FOUR PAWS is the global animal welfare organisation for animals under direct human influence, which reveals suffering, rescues animals in need and protects them. We reveal, rescue and protect unique animals from many different species through systems change and by creating species-appropriate environments at our sanctuaries!

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading national operations together with the Director Germany: Managing Finance & Administration, HR, and Risk & Compliance functions
  • aligning Sanctuary strategies with the overall country strategy
  • Driving Performance & Improvement: Setting and monitoring quantitative/qualitative metrics and standards
  • evaluating effectiveness and identifying opportunities to optimise operations
  • Budgeting & Resource Management: Planning, controlling, and forecasting budgets and operational costs across divisions to ensure impact and efficiency
  • Implementing policies & strengthening procedures: Ensuring national policies and procedures align with international standards
  • reviewing and optimising business processes
  • Cross Entity Coordination: Supporting all German entities, promoting synergies, and streamlining processes and reporting together with the Director Germany
  • Change & Communication Leadership: Communicating new directives to leadership and operations teams
  • acting as first point of contact during major changes, ensuring clarity, support, and morale

Requirements:

  • Successful track record in leadership as well as senior operational roles with NGOs or corporate business
  • Being a convincing and motivating leader within a fast-growing and diverse organisation
  • Experience in fundraising, finance, and HR
  • Thinking outside the box and having a solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience in supporting transformation processes preferred
  • Excellent as a persuasive and engaging communicator and motivator
  • Fluent in German & English
  • Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS’ vision and mission
