Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Deputy Court Clerk to join our team in Prairie View, Texas. This is a long-term contract position that requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and data entry skills. The role involves providing essential administrative support to the court in a precise and efficient manner.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and process various forms and legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting court visitors and addressing their inquiries
  • Support court operations by maintaining organized records and filing systems
  • Collaborate with judges, attorneys, and other staff to ensure seamless communication and workflow
  • Perform numeric and alphanumeric data entry tasks quickly and accurately
  • Utilize computer systems and software applications to input and manage court-related information
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating court proceedings and hearings
  • Generate reports and summaries as required by the Municipal Court Judge
  • Adapt to new technologies and systems to improve office efficiency
  • Uphold confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive legal information

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Previous experience in a legal or court-related setting is highly desirable
  • Strong background in customer service with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and software systems
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Fast and accurate typing skills with experience in numeric and alphanumeric data entry
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when managing sensitive information
  • Comfortable working in a small office environment with frequent interaction with court personnel
